INFORMATION

Manual lathes are the roots of Moore’s Machine Shop and Fabrication. As technology has helped in the evolution of machining, manual lathes still have their place at MMS today. There was a time where every lathe in our building was a manual. While we have more CNC lathes running today than we have manual lathes, we still utilize our manual lathes. Manual lathes can be used to drill holes in material and also repair threads or cut off connections and recut them. They are also great for building parts that would take longer to program than to actually build in a manual lathe. Manual lathes are best for low quantity orders, such as rings and small components that are required for assembly units.

In the past, we have used our manual lathes for multiple things that we still do to this day. That includes but is not limited to the following: Tractor parts, automotive parts repair, aviation parts repair, shaft repair, boat parts repair, gun parts repair. We are an oilfield-rooted company but thanks to our manual machines we can service many industries and things you may need around the home or office repaired or replaced.
